CHAPTER 1 — THE VIDEO THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST

The rooftop was no longer a party.
It had become a crime scene without tape.
Security lights flickered across the faces of stunned guests, each one frozen in disbelief as the surveillance footage kept playing on the giant LED screen.
The pregnant woman stood near the shattered glass, one hand still trembling against her stomach. Her cheek was red from the slap, but she didn’t cry. She just stared at the screen.
Because she recognized something no one else did.
The camera angle.
It wasn’t random.
It was targeted.
A man in a white suit stepped back slowly. His breathing broke. On the screen, he appeared again—this time clearly visible—watching her from a hidden corner of the party earlier that night.
Not talking.
Not dancing.
Just observing her.
Like she was being studied.
“I didn’t authorize any recording,” he said quickly, voice cracking.
But nobody listened anymore.
Phones were out. People were recording him now.
The young man who had picked up the USB turned his head toward the pregnant woman.
“Do you know what this is?” he asked quietly.
She didn’t answer.
May you like
Because suddenly, she realized—
This wasn’t the first time she had been watched.
