Chapter 7 — Sunrise

Nearly a year later, Ethan returned to the abandoned warehouse.
The freezer still stood inside the empty building.
Rust had begun creeping across the steel door.
He rested one hand against the cold metal.
Not with anger.
Not with fear.
With gratitude.
Because the place where Caleb believed his story would end...
had become the place where the truth finally began.
As Ethan walked back toward the morning sunlight, his phone vibrated.
Detective Sarah Collins smiled from the other end.
"It's official."
"Holloway was convicted on every count."
Ethan looked toward the rising sun.
"Then everyone finally answered for what they chose."
He ended the call and kept walking.
The warehouse disappeared behind him.
The past no longer followed.
Caleb had locked a man inside a freezer, believing he could bury the truth forever.
Instead...
he preserved the evidence that destroyed his own empire.
Justice had taken time.
May you like
But when it finally arrived...
it never needed revenge. Only the truth.
