Thirty minutes later, the first car arrived.
Then another.
Then three more.
Black vehicles. No plates. No noise.
Only doors opening in silence.
Men stepped out—not bodyguards in suits.

I stood frozen at the window.
“This is not legal,” I whispered.
Alexander adjusted his jacket without looking at me.
“I’m not calling the law.”

Sofia weakly grabbed his hand.
“Dad… don’t do something dangerous.”
For the first time, his expression softened.
He knelt beside her again.
