The courtroom was full one last time.

Michael was sentenced to prison for aggravated assault, attempted coercion, and financial crimes.

Ethan received years behind bars for fraud, identity theft, and conspiracy.

Linda accepted responsibility for her role and received probation after fully cooperating and helping recover stolen assets.

Outside the courthouse...

The autumn sun warmed my face.

Daniel handed me a small envelope.

I looked at the key for a long moment.

Then I smiled.
