CHAPTER 1 — “THE FOOTAGE THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST”

The courtyard was silent except for the faint sound of dripping water from Emma’s soaked hair.
Christopher didn’t move.
Not even when Juliette took another step back.
“Chris…” she tried again, softer now. “This is insane. You’re going to believe a camera over your own wife?”
Christopher finally exhaled.
Slow. Controlled.
“I already did,” he said.
He gently set Emma down on a lounge chair. The girl trembled but didn’t let go of his sleeve.
Then he pulled out his phone.
One tap.
The courtyard screen embedded in the villa wall flickered to life.
Juliette froze.
A security feed appeared.
Clear. High-definition.
The pool.
Juliette walking beside Emma earlier.
Smiling.
Talking softly.
And then—
Her hand.
A deliberate push.
Emma falling into the water.
No accident.
No slip.
Just intention.
Juliette stumbled back, her lips trembling. “That’s edited—Christopher, that’s not real—”
May you like
Christopher tilted his head slightly.
“I didn’t show you the second camera yet.”
