Chapter 14 - BLOOD INSIDE THE MANSION

The first gunshot came at 2:13 a.m.

It shattered the silence of the Moretti estate.

Then everything exploded.

Security alarms screamed.

Lights flashed.

Men ran through marble hallways.

Doors slammed.

Weapons appeared from hidden rooms.

The mansion that had always been a fortress became a battlefield.

Alejandro stood in the center of the chaos.

He understood immediately.

This was not an attack from outside.

Because the attackers knew exactly where to go.

They knew every hallway.

Every camera.

Every blind spot.

Someone inside had opened the door.

Bruno rushed toward him.

“We’re compromised.”

Alejandro looked around.

“How many?”

“Too many.”

A second explosion shook the lower floor.

Olivia held Emma behind the security wall.

Daniel checked the cameras.

His face turned pale.

“What?”

Alejandro asked.

Daniel pointed at the screen.

“They are not trying to kill you.”

Alejandro looked.

“What are they doing?”

Daniel whispered:

“They are looking for Emma.”

The words changed everything.

Alejandro turned.

“No one touches that child.”

Bruno nodded.

“I’ll protect her.”

Alejandro looked at him.

“No.”

A pause.

“You protect her like she’s your own.”

Bruno understood.

Because that was not an order.

That was a promise.

The attackers moved closer.

Then every screen inside the security room suddenly turned black.

One message appeared.

White letters.

Simple.

Cold.

RETURN THE DAUGHTER.

Alejandro stared.

Then another message appeared.

OR LOSE ANOTHER ONE.

His hands tightened.

Because he finally understood.

This war had never been about his empire.

Never about money.

Never about territory.

It was about a child.

A child someone had stolen from him.

A child someone was willing to kill again.

Then the final message appeared.

A name.

A name Alejandro had not heard in three years.

KIARA MORETTI IS ALIVE.

And beneath it…

A live video started playing.

A little girl.

Sitting in a dark room.

Wearing a pink ribbon.

Crying.

Alejandro stopped breathing.

Because he knew that face.

He had spent three years searching for it in every dream.

Every memory.

Every nightmare.

And now she was looking directly into the camera.

Whispering one sentence.

“Daddy…”

May you like

The screen went black.
